Marfret Niolon

Operating on the MPV route, the Marfret Niolon is a 123-meter Ro-Ro vessel equipped with conventional propulsion, supplemented by sail assistance (four eConowind wings) installed in 2022. Leveraging precise weather and sea data, the system uses a digital twin of the ship, based on data and artificial intelligence, to calculate optimized routing at any given time. This is done to reduce fuel consumption and emissions while considering operational constraints such as maintaining arrival schedules, sea conditions allowing safe navigation, etc.
