Marfret is expanding its container fleet with the arrival of 200 new 40’ high cube boxes. These are sought-after units at the moment, since the extra 30cm interior height in the 40’HC provides a 10 to 15% increase in load volume over a standard container.
The boxes have now left the factory in Asia and are on their way to Le Havre, Genoa and Fos-sur-Mer and will be available for their first loads at the beginning of May. This latest arrival of new containers follows on from a previously delivery at the beginning of the year, underlining Marfret’s ability to accompany their customers’ business growth.
For several years, Marfret’s logistics department has scheduled container deliveries in line with increasing freight volumes and its desire to offer clients up-to-date equipment.
As a result, the company had already increased its 40’ HC dry fleet by 10% in 2020 and invested in the purchase of 550 new reefer containers.
