A concentration of innovations serving environmental performance, the engine of the Douce France is optimized to consume fuel with 0.5% sulfur. It benefits from a ballast water treatment system. Studies conducted to optimize the trim and shapes of this 190-meter long “X Bow” vessel improve its performance, especially in rough weather. We have carefully chosen the rudder and propeller to achieve the best possible efficiencies.
This 2,296 TEU vessel, equipped with 600 reefer plugs, is deployed on our Guyana-Amazon service. In order to best meet the commercial and technical specificities of the route, its hull design and shallow draft “Guyanamax” allow it to navigate smoothly through the channel to the container terminal at Dégrad-des Cannes.
