Departing in January from Concarneau, the association’s headquarters, the container crossed the Atlantic to Puerto Cortés, Honduras, before being transshipped to the island of Roatan, a hidden treasure of the Caribbean.
For three months, the scientists will carry out biodiversity surveys and analyses in these waters, among the richest in the world. At the end of the mission, Marfret will also handle the return of the equipment to France, thus completing a logistics operation dedicated to science and the preservation of the oceans.
