PORT FACILITIES
The Port of Fortaleza, also known as Mucuripe, is one of the most important and strategic maritime terminals in the country. The equipment operated by the terminal includes 2 mobile harbor cranes (MHC), 2 reach stackers, and 1 forklift. Docas do Ceará, the port authority, has 500 reefer plugs and 2 cold storage rooms for customs inspections. Cashew nuts, carnauba wax, metal, textiles, fruits, wheat, malt, lubricants, fuels, and petroleum products are among the main goods handled by the port.
