The Port of Genoa spans 22 kilometers of coastline between the old port and the new port of Voltri. Genoa is a multi-service port with 21 terminals specialized in handling all major sectors of goods: containers, general cargo, perishables, steel, forest products, bulk, petroleum products, and cruise passengers. Today, Genoa is Italy's leading port in terms of both cargo and passengers.

AEM - Agenzie Europee Marittime - was founded in 1979 and began representing the first Marseille Fret ship, the "Peter Wash," bound for the French Antilles in 1980.
